“Oddly enough I’m not a big brunch fan (the meal that is.) Give me a good breakfast at 9AM and I’m happy. Is that brunch? I don’t really know.”
“No, no it isn’t.” —Ed.
Dan grew up surrounded by rocket scientists, engineers, and IT folks—it shows. From a quick sense of humor to a deep love of games (there’s a trend at Brunch), Dan’s a bit of a nerd in the best possible ways. “My dad taught me about IT service and troubleshooting—really how to problem solve.” His mom instilled in him a sense of empathy and understanding, and a love of networking. “She really taught me to see people, and think about why they act certain ways.”
Dan studied marketing at the University of Alabama, taking in everything they had to offer—and a little more. “Alabama Football is my religion. I’m off-limits on Saturdays in the fall, so I apologize ahead of time if you call me on one of those days.”
Dan wears a bunch of hats at Brunch, focusing on our business development and agency marketing, as well as strategies for our clients. “Sales is an interesting concept these days. People make 70% of the decision before even talking to a company at this point, so things are changing. I’m excited for that challenge—to figure out what works.”
When not working, (and often while) you’re likely to find Dan with his dog Louis. “I wish I could say that Louis is short for Archduke Louis Reginald Nikolai Mendelhoz Saltpeter Tijuana Barkinson the Fourth, but I can’t because Andy made that up. I think he’s named after Gossip Girl? You’ll have to ask my girlfriend.”
